Dewey Johns
Dewey Johns and his wife, Eva, ran the fruit store located on Main Street in Mound City. They later turned the building into hunting lodges for such hunters as Ray Watson, Bob Willets, and others from Kansas City. Dewey was the town Marshall, managed the Mound City swimming pool, and also helped with the summer ball program. He introduced his son, Buster, to hunting in the Mound City area.
